I am building a collection of used U.S. stamps, one each from issues 1 to 4000, but I only desire one copy of each stamp. The stamps in this lot are duplicates, or I don't like them for one reason or another, or they have minor faults, as described below. Each stamp is only listed once below. If a catalog number appears twice, that's because there is more than one copy in the group. The group numbers correspond to the pictures in order of appearance (I hope). The catalog numbers are correct to the best of my ability to determine them and might differ from the optimist who wrote catalog numbers on the backs of some of the stamps. A question mark indicates I did not leave myself notes regarding the fault, but there is a fault, so check the image carefully. Group 1 Duplicates (no faults): 707, 709, 710, 712, 714, 715, 720, 721, 832, 834, 1053 Faults: 833 (crease), 833 (rotated image) Group 2 Duplicates (no faults): 651, 635, 636, 636, 686, 695 Offsets (no faults): 567, 569, 570, 603, 654, 696 I don't like the cancel (no faults): 557, 627, 633, 637, 639, 641, 723 Faults: 562 (ink writing on back), 567 (crease), 640 (crease), 649 (thinned), 693 (crease), 696 (crease) Group 3 Duplicates (no faults): 279, 331 (or 374), 367 Offsets (no faults): 281, 282 (possibly 271) Faults: 294 (?), 398 (short perfs), 319 (type I, thinned), 319 (type I, perfs on 3 sides), 319 (type I, crease), 319 (type II, crease), 506 (?) Group 4 Duplicates (no faults): 597 Offsets (no faults): 331, 3c green Washington (unidentified) Faults: 206 (possibly 156, discolored), 212 (?), 219 (possibly 219D, thinned), 279 (crease), 279 (short perfs), 604 (?) This group includes several stamps that I cannot identify. To the best of my ability to determine, these stamps have no watermarks, secret marks, or grills. Given their collections of origin, I seriously doubt any of these are ultra rare examples. 2c Jackson, orange (light tear at top), 2c Washington, brown (rounded corner, discolored), 3c Washington, green (thinned), 3c Washington, green (discolored), 3c Washington, green (crackle) Group 5 Duplicates (no faults): 252 Faults: 248 (crease), 249 (crease), 250 (crease), 252 (crease), 463 (rough), 499 (crease), 583 (short perfs), 606 (short perfs) Group 6 Duplicates (no faults): 324 Faults: 254 (thinned), 256 (crease), 281 (crease), 281 (crease), 281 (crease, short perfs), 327 (crease), 329 (crease), 330 (crease), 331 (crease), 331 (crease), 372 (crease), 340 (rough), 503 (crease) Not interested in collecting: 10c Special Delivery Sale is final. Given this level of detail, you cannot argue I misrepresented the items in this auction. Stamps will be packed in glassine envelopes and shipped in a bubble mailer, first class.
